PrismXenForo add-on

A forum costs money every month, and every usual way of asking for it feels wrong: the donation button nobody presses, the ads your members resent, the paywall that locks out the very people who keep the place alive. Yet those same members spend real time on their avatar, their signature and their title. They already care how they look here. Prism gives that care somewhere to go, and gives you a reason for people to pay you every month, without closing a single discussion.

What your members see​

A profile opens and it is no longer your default page. A nebula drifts behind the cards, stars cross the banner, a crown sits on the avatar. Nobody had to ask what the subscription is for.

Then that member replies in a thread, and the look follows: a nameplate under the avatar, a decoration around it, a name in its own font and colour, a badge that climbs the longer they stay. Hover over the name and the member card carries it too. Everyone reading the thread sees what a plan looks like, and the page that sells it is one click away.

What you sell​

• Two plans, your names. Plus and Max are only the defaults. Prism creates four native account upgrades, monthly and yearly, so buying, renewing and refunding stay in the XenForo you know.
• A catalogue of 101 items. Animated banners and full-page backdrops, nameplates, avatar decorations, profile effects, profile themes, name styles and profile widgets, with free and seasonal items so nobody starts empty. You choose which plan each item needs.
• The small daily pleasures. Personal emojis, super reactions, a personal site theme with its own accent colour and ambiance, and alert sounds.
• Status that takes time. Tenure badges climb six stages, the first subscribers keep a Founder badge for good, and members who give get a Patron badge.
• Growth built in. Members offer a plan to someone else, buy a gift code to send in private, or hand out trial passes that end on their own with no payment.
• Looks worth keeping. Saved outfits switch a whole look in one click, and Surprise me proposes one from what the member can wear, changing nothing until they keep it.
• Your own artwork. Upload house banners, backdrops, decorations and plates from the Admin CP and they join the catalogue.
• Moderation included. Member uploads and emojis can go through the approval queue, with reports and moderator log entries.

Ready to sell the day you install it​

The perks page, the comparison table, the buy buttons, the consent box at checkout, the receipts and the account pages are all there. A Getting started page in the Admin CP reads the real state of your forum and walks you through what is left: names, prices, a payment profile, and the switch that opens the shop. If you already take payments on your forum, it can be open today.

18 feature families switch on and off one by one. A family you turn off disappears from the page, the account pages and the comparison table, and your members' choices are kept for later. Everything is built from XenForo's own components, so it adapts to your style in light and dark, and every animation stops for members who ask for reduced motion.

Good to know​

You pay once for Prism; your members pay you. Requires XenForo 2.3 and PHP 8.0 or later, tested on 2.3.11 and 2.3.13.

You set up your own native XenForo payment method and your own prices, and you remain responsible for your terms of sale, taxes and legal obligations. Purchases, replays, refunds, expiries, gifts, codes and trial passes are tested end to end against a simulated payment provider, not yet through a live PayPal or Stripe account, so put one small real purchase through yourself before you announce.

There is no media widget on the profile board in 1.0, and the Favourite resources widget needs XenForo Resource Manager. Team boosts are optional and only appear with our Teams add-on. Running next to another add-on that styles profiles has not been tested: any family that overlaps can simply be turned off.
