A film night on a forum usually means everyone pressing play at roughly the same time and comparing timestamps in chat. Watch Party keeps the video in sync for everyone in the room, with the conversation beside it.
What it does
- Synchronised playback of YouTube, Twitch VODs and VK Video. Play, pause and seek reach every viewer at once.
- A live chat sidebar with native XenForo smilies, viewer presence and floating reactions.
- Themed rooms for films, talks, gameplay or AMAs, with invitations and host controls.
- Scheduled watch parties with reminders, so the audience actually turns up.
- Optional Pusher integration for sub 100ms delivery, with polling as the fallback.

- Add a watch party to a calendar. Every schedule offers an .ics download, so the reminder lands in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar rather than only on the forum.
- The Admin CP is reorganised into five categories, with four new pages.
- Insights: rooms and viewers over time, which categories get used, the split between YouTube, Twitch and VK, your busiest rooms and your most active hosts.
- Realtime tells you whether Pusher is configured and lets you test the connection, instead of finding out when a watch party goes quiet.
- Maintenance offers six one-click cleanups, and Hosts lists every member who has run a party.

Watch Party brings exactly the kind of feature every community has always wanted. Being able to watch YouTube or Twitch events together without needing individual accounts on those platforms is simply fantastic.
We’re already looking forward to all the future gaming events we’ll be able to enjoy together directly within our community, while also chatting live through the integrated chat feature.
