The store goes from Teams 1.3 straight to 3.1.2, and that is not a typo. Teams kept moving in the workshop, one build at a time, while the store stayed on 1.3. Today it catches up, and if you own Teams this is by far the largest update you have received.

Discussions are native threads now.
In 1.3 each team had a linked forum. In 3.1 every team discussion is a real XenForo thread in a single Team discussions forum, opened inside the team page. The team staff creates forums of its own, files threads into them and manages prefixes, and the threads show up in search and in What's New.

The wall became real XenForo content.
Attachments, mentions, quick edit, drafts, pinned comments, soft delete, the approval queue, inline moderation, warnings and the moderator log. It runs on the native services, so your moderators already know how it works.

Recruitment goes both ways.
Teams post calls, players publish a profile, and once an hour the add-on matches the two, scores each pair out of 100 and says why. Both sides get an alert.

Seasons, a hall of fame, and now duels.
The leaderboard runs in seasons that crown a champion. New in 3.1, a team can challenge another for 3, 7 or 14 days. Each side scores the XP its members earn, the scoreboard is live, and the winner takes bonus XP.

A team level that unlocks perks.
Every team has a level computed from the XP of its members, drawn as a ring around its logo. You decide what each level unlocks from nine perk types: more member slots, emoji slots, the theme builder, an animated banner and so on. On an upgraded board the ladder starts empty, so nothing changes for your teams until you add perks.

A cockpit for whoever runs a team.
One page with the figures that matter and a Needs your attention list: applications waiting, a challenge to answer, a duel about to end, each with the button that settles it.

Also in this release
  • Separate, stricter role permissions, and roles that can be linked to user groups.
  • Strikes given by team staff or by a banned word, with removal at the limit.
  • A REST API, webhooks, link embeds and five widgets.
  • Seventeen Admin CP pages, including Seasons, Recruitment, Duels and Level perks.
  • Every public page redrawn with native XenForo components, light and dark.

If you run 1.3, read this before you upgrade.
The upgrade is direct, with no intermediate version to install, and it keeps your teams, members, roles, quests, events and XP. I rehearsed it on a board running the 1.3.0 archive from this store, with teams, members, a pending application, quests, events and team forums: once by uploading the files over the old ones, once with the Admin CP archive installer, and nothing was lost either way. Two things to do. Take a backup first, because moving the discussions cannot be undone: threads from each team's forum go into the single Team discussions forum and the old team forums are removed, so a link to an old team forum stops working while the threads keep their address. Then review the Teams permissions, most of which are new, and the roles of your teams: a role now opens only the screens its permissions name.

One fix worth the upgrade on its own.
On 1.3, the forum of a private team could be read by guests when it sat under a public category. In 3.1.2 a team discussion is checked against team membership, so a private team stays private.

What it does not do.
There is no bracket tournament: duels are decided on XP. Guests can browse public teams and the recruitment board, and nothing more. And the interface says team in some places and community in others. Every label is a phrase, so you can settle on one.
