Voice and video calls, inside the conversation.
One to one, started from the conversation header, with the media flowing browser to browser over WebRTC. Your server never relays audio or video, so a call costs your hosting nothing. Signalling rides the realtime channel you already run, with a server fallback when it is needed. STUN and TURN are supported, including the coturn REST scheme, so credentials are minted per call and your TURN secret never leaves the server. Screen sharing is there too, with a clean switch back to the camera.

A call screen that behaves like an app.
Ripple rings while it is ringing, a large avatar, a live timer, and a halo around the speaker that pulses with their actual voice. A call can be minimised into a floating pill while the conversation carries on. Video fills the frame with your own preview in the corner. Mute, camera, screen share, accept and hang up carry keyboard focus, dialog semantics and live announcements for screen readers.

Calls leave a trace.
Missed, declined and completed calls write a centred event line in the conversation with the duration, and those lines are real conversation messages, so a member who was offline gets the unread badge, the list preview and the notification they would get for anything else.

You decide who can call.
Voice calls, video calls and screen sharing each carry their own permission, and a single option turns the whole thing off for a board that does not want it.

The composer, as your members asked for it.
The Enter key is configurable at two levels: an admin option for the board default, and a per member override in preferences with Board default as the third choice. The emoji picker reads the emoji list of your own XenForo installation, categories and search included, rather than a preset bundled with the add-on, and there is a formatting panel beside it. On a phone the composer no longer takes focus when a conversation opens, so reading no longer raises the keyboard.

And a pass on reliability.
Ring signals are flood limited, usernames are neutralised before being embedded in forwarded message notes and mentions, switching conversation during a call no longer interrupts signalling, cancelling while the other side is answering is handled cleanly, a busy peer is reported at once, and closing the tab during a call tells the other side immediately. Plus dozens of smaller ones: readability in the dock on a light theme, 44 pixel touch targets on mobile, iOS safe areas on the call screen, reduced motion coverage and visible focus rings.

Calls need a realtime driver configured and HTTPS in production, which is what browsers require before they hand over a microphone or a camera.
