Drafts lets your team write the important threads together before they go live: rule changes, guides, event announcements. Version 2 did the job with a look of its own and a few rough edges, such as attachments that did not follow into the published thread. Version 3.0.0 rebuilds the add-on on XenForo itself, keeps every 2.0 feature and makes most of them do more.

It looks and works like XenForo
The list of drafts works like a forum, with tabs, filters, search and inline moderation. A draft reads like a thread, with its details and co-authors in the sidebar. The history works like XenForo's edit history. Every page takes its colours from your style, light and dark, so there is nothing left to set up.Writing together without stepping on each other
- Autosave runs a few seconds after you stop typing. If a co-author saved in the meantime, it pauses instead of overwriting their work, and a manual save keeps their version in the history. Ctrl+S saves without leaving the editor.
- Live presence shows which co-authors have the draft open and who is editing it right now.
- Compare any two versions, word by word or line by line, then view or restore an old one.
- Change a co-author's role, remove someone, or leave a draft you were invited to. Comments can be edited, resolved and filtered, with @mention completion.
From draft to thread
- Publish to any forum you can post in, with a thread prefix, tags and watch options, now or at a date in your own time zone.
- Attachments now follow the draft into the thread, and the optional footer credits the author and every co-author.
- Changed something after publishing? Push the new version to the first post of the thread; the post keeps its native edit history.
- When approval is required, pending drafts land in XenForo's approval queue and in a new Awaiting approval list. Editing an approved draft asks for approval again.
For the people running it
- A dashboard with what needs your attention, the latest drafts and the most active authors, plus a manager with state tabs, search and sorting.
- Native statistics, alert preferences, bookmarks and a Recent drafts widget.
- A fresh install grants sensible default permissions, renamed, merged and deleted members are handled, and uninstalling leaves nothing behind.

The update is free for every licence within its 12 months of updates: download 3.0.0 from your account, back up, then install the archive over 2.x from the Admin CP. Drafts, versions, comments, co-authors and bookmarks are kept; bookmarks move to XenForo's bookmarks and pending drafts join the approval queue. The 14 Drafts style properties are removed because the pages now follow your style.
