Three releases, one announcement.
Classified went from 1.4.1 to 1.5.2 without a word from me here, so this post covers all three. 1.5.0 is the large one: a rebuilt marketplace, new ways to close a deal and 126 fixes. 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 correct what it got wrong.

The marketplace and every listing have a new look.
Both are rebuilt from XenForo's own building blocks, so they follow your style, light and dark, and your custom properties. The marketplace gets category tabs, a filter column that folds away on phones, and gallery, list and map views. Quick view opens a listing in an overlay, so members compare without leaving the results.

Members can trade one listing for another.
On listings that accept trades, a member proposes a swap with one to three of their own listings, with cash on top in either direction or none. It is negotiated like an offer, and accepting it closes every listing involved, so the same item can never be traded twice.

Every concluded sale opens a deal.
Payment sent, shipped with an optional carrier and tracking number, received. Members who meet in person confirm the handover. Both sides follow it on the listing, in the conversation and on a new My deals page. Idle deals send a reminder, either member can report a problem to the moderators, and the reviews left once a deal completes carry a Verified deal badge.

A price guide built from real sales.
While a member writes a listing, they see what similar items sold for in that category over recent months. Once it is live, a gauge places the asking price among those sales for every member allowed to see sale prices. Sold prices kept private and items that changed hands in a trade are never used.

Wanted ads are matched with items for sale.
When a wanted ad and a listing for sale look like the same item, both members get an alert, and you choose how close a match has to be.

Also in 1.5.0
  • A price drop badge, with the first asking price struck through.
  • Target price alerts: a member names their price and hears once when the seller reaches it.
  • Whole prices shown without cents, on by default.

126 fixes, and some weigh more than the features.
A crafted listing title can no longer run code in the map pop-ups. A sale price marked private is no longer shown to guests, and reports only reach moderators who can see the category. Paid featuring works: the payment page used to end on a page not found error, and members now reach the payment provider. Deleting a member closes the offers and deals they left open, and merging two accounts merges their marketplace too. On large boards, photos load in one query per list and the nightly expiry no longer stops at 200 listings.

What 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 correct.
1.5.0 tightened Contact seller one step too far: on boards where members may not start conversations, Contact seller, offers and trades stopped working. 1.5.1 hands the decision back to the marketplace permission Contact sellers privately, without giving anyone the right to message members elsewhere on the board. It also adds a wait, in hours, before a new account may contact sellers, a permission that lets trusted groups skip it, and a safety notice on the contact form. 1.5.2 tells a member who is still waiting how many hours are left instead of hiding the whole area, and stacks price and currency on a phone held upright.

Before you upgrade.
Upload the files over the existing ones, then upgrade the add-on in the Admin CP. If you run 1.5.0 or 1.5.1, go straight to 1.5.2. Trades, matching, the price guide and deals are switched on by default and can be adjusted under Options. Existing listings, offers, reviews and favorites are kept as they are. The safety notice starts on the contact form, the wait at 0 hours. Price drop badges only start from a listing's next price change. The offer and deal panels appear on XenForo's own conversation page: if your board replaces conversations with another messaging app, members find their deals on the listing page and on My deals instead.

Thank you, BladeForums.
Their reports are behind 1.5.1, 1.5.2 and several of the fixes in 1.5.0.
