Dashboard, My listings, My offers, My searches and My favorites share one side navigation, built the way XenForo builds Your account, with counts that show what needs you. The dashboard gathers the offers waiting on your answer, the listings about to expire and your certification into a single list, and says so plainly when there is nothing to do. My listings has a tab for every status, pages, and one clear action on each row with the rest in a menu. My offers leads with what needs you. My searches counts the new matches since the last alert.
Custom fields reach the board search.
A listing whose Steel field says CPM MagnaCut, with no mention of steel in its title or description, was invisible to a normal forum search: the structured data was good for filtering and useless for finding. Every text, dropdown and several choices answer now goes into the search document alongside the question it answers.
Two new kinds of custom field, and suggestions while typing.
Several choices lets a seller tick everything that applies, and filtering finds a listing by any one of them. Dropdown or something else offers a controlled list and still accepts a value nobody thought of. Free text fields suggest the values other members have entered, most used first, so a field for a maker stops fragmenting into three spellings within a week.
Listing descriptions accept BBCode.
Bold, links, lists and everything else XenForo allows in a post, written in the editor your members already use everywhere else on the board.
The category sidebar is XenForo's own tree.
Parents fold open, counts sit in labels, and the branch you are in opens by itself. Picking a category updates the listings, the page title and the breadcrumb without reloading, and Back still works.
Members can follow a seller.
Favouriting says tell me about this item. Following says tell me when this person lists anything, which is what a marketplace with regular traders needs.
A field trends report.
Pick a text, dropdown or several choices field and see every value in use, how many listings carried it, how many sold, the sell through rate and the average asking and sold prices, over a window you choose. Sold and expired listings keep their answers, so this reads what your board actually trades rather than only what is for sale today.
