A single number cannot mean both the box on its own and the box with everything you own. So there are two readings now, and the page says which is which.
Recommended experience.
On a game that has expansions in the database, a member proposes the combination worth owning: which expansions to take, which to skip, and what the game becomes with them. Rating, both complexity axes, setup, teaching and playing time, and how it plays at each player count. Others vote on it, the best supported one is shown first, the rest are one click away, and every proposal carries its own comment thread.
The header shows both.
The rating and weight of the base game, and beside them those of the full experience when a combination exists. At the table shows both commitments side by side when the expansions change the times, and the player count panel shows the recommended verdicts next to the community ones.
Expansion pages say what their numbers mean.
Ten minutes of setup on an expansion means ten minutes added to the base game, not ten minutes in total. The page says so.
Featuring a game is a decision now.
Games can be featured by hand through the standard XenForo function, permission controlled, rather than the section always picking the best rated one. A featured game also appears in XenForo Featured content.
Play logs
A play can be edited, so fixing a typo no longer means deleting the entry and losing its date. A long report folds behind a Read more link that expands in place.
The page reads in a better order.
At the table, then The box says the table says, then the recent plays, then Before you play. The two guide panels moved to the top of the right column where they can be found, still closed until someone opens them. The sentence XenForo prints above the page is off, and the three counters beside the search box are gone since the sidebar already carries them.
Fixed
Copy details from the base game never appeared: XenForo puts the marker attribute on the inner list of a checkbox row while the class that hides the row sits on the row itself, so the script was revealing an element that had never been hidden. And every moderation action on a game that writes to the moderator log failed silently, approving and renaming included, because two required fields were never filled in.
One correction to these notes: five of the settings behind this release, the Read more threshold and the intro line among them, shipped without being attached to the options screen, so they cannot be seen in the Admin CP yet. The defaults are the ones described above. A small update that puts them on screen follows shortly.
