Emporium

You are reading this on a forum that runs Emporium. The store you are browsing, the licence you would hold, the update you would download next: that is all this add-on, in production, right now. Nothing here is a mock-up.

What it does​

• Sells four kinds of thing. Downloads, access passes, services and bundles, each with its own page, gallery and version history.
• Price plans, not just prices. One-off or recurring, per-site install limits, trial days, early renewal, and a different plan for the same product when you need one.
• Licences that manage themselves. Issued on payment, tied to the buyer, with an install count and an expiry you control, plus grace days so nobody is cut off mid-week.
• A signed licence API. Your customer's board asks yours whether its licence is valid and what it may download. Replay-protected, and you decide what each licence is entitled to.
• The client add-on is in the box. Emporium Client ships inside your download, yours to hand to buyers: they check their licence and install the updates they are entitled to from their own Admin CP, in one click.
• Releases with a real changelog. Typed entries, the archive attached, its hash and size recorded, and the customer downloading the file under the name you gave it.
• The money side. Orders, sequential invoice numbering, refunds, partial refunds and chargebacks, with Stripe for payment.
• An Admin CP that covers it. Dashboard, products, plans, orders, licences, coupons, payment profiles and data health.

Why it exists​

Selling add-ons from a forum usually means bolting a shop onto a platform that knows nothing about your members, then emailing licence keys by hand and hoping customers notice an update. Emporium keeps all of it in XenForo: the buyer is a member, the licence hangs off their account, and the update reaches their board without either of you doing anything.

Good to know​

Requires XenForo 2.3 and PHP 8.0 or later. Payments go through Stripe, which you connect with your own keys. This board is the reference installation: every product page, order and licence you can see here is Emporium doing its job.
