Journey

Most members who leave never come back after their first week. Journey gives them a short, visible checklist: introduce yourself, fill in your profile, post your first thread, react to something. Each step completes on its own as they do it, and each one can pay.

What it does​

• A quest line you configure, from a handful of steps to a full onboarding path.
• Steps that complete themselves. Posting, replying, reacting, following a forum, sending a message, filling a profile, reading a given thread, visiting a given section.
• Rewards per step. XP, user groups, badges, or forum currency.
• A progress widget that keeps the checklist in front of the member during the week it matters.
• Theme safe by construction. Every colour is a style property that defaults to your own theme.

New in 1.3.1​

• Established members are no longer stuck. Progress is measured against a member's current state the first time a step reaches them, so someone who already had an avatar or a thousand posts sees a truthful checklist. A Recalculate progress button runs that pass over your whole member base.
• That catch-up does not grant the rewards unless you ask it to. On a board with history, it would fire one transaction and one alert per member per step in a single pass.
• Three new criteria: start a thread in a specific forum, reply in a specific forum, and visit a specific page.
• Steps can be reordered by dragging again.

Good to know​

Requires XenForo 2.3 and PHP 8.0 or later. Currency rewards use DragonByte Credits; the other reward types work on their own.
