A friendly little wave between members. Zero conversation, zero friction.
Sometimes you just want to say hi to a member without starting a conversation. XenPing adds a soft, lightweight micro-interaction designed to strengthen casual connections in your community — one wave at a time.
How it works

Members see a cheerful 👋 Wave button on every other member's profile (and in the hover tooltip). One click sends a soft notification to the recipient — "Admin waved at you 👋" — with an animated waving hand emoji.

That's it. No reply box, no chain of messages. Just a friendly hello.

🔢 Counter — optional "X left today" pill on the wave button, so members know their remaining budget
🛡️ Anti-spam — rate limiting + per-user daily cap + per-target cooldown, layered defence
🔐 Granular permissions — separate permissions for sending and receiving waves
⚡ Lightweight — one small table, single query per wave, no cron, no JavaScript framework dependency

Master enable/disable switch
Daily wave limit per member (default: 5, range: 1–50)
Cooldown between waves to the same recipient in hours (default: 24, range: 1–168)
Show or hide the "X waves left today" counter on the button
